Pastor Peter Staples was converted to Christ in 1990, coming from a background of hedonistic surf culture, drug-taking and travel. In 1996 he entered the ministry, pioneering a church in Maroubra, Sydney. In 1998 he was asked to assume the pastorate of an established congregation in Kogarah, Sydney.
After pastoring in the Sydney region for seven years, he left a thriving and healthy church to head overseas.
Pastor Staples, his wife Adelina & three young children, went as missionaries to Chennai, South India.
Five years later, after discipling and training a national pastor to assume responsibility of the church, he returned to Australia to pastor the church in Newcastle, NSW.
Now in his 25th year of ministry, having celebrated 29 years of marriage, with three adult children, a son-in-law and new grandson, Pastor Staples has a wealth of experience and insight into the word of God. With many remarkable testimonies, both as a pastor and personally, he has the capability to apply the teachings of the Bible in a practical, down to earth manner. His aim now is to help people connect to Jesus so they can find their hope and destiny in God.
